The Specialized Environmental Prosecutor's Office of the East Kazakhstan region has revealed the facts of illegal mining of precious metals in the Ulan district, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the department.
During the raids, two groups of miners without licenses, were engaged in excavation of land in search of precious metals. For this purpose, they used four metal detectors, which were subsequently seized.
Cases of damage to the environment by illegal extraction of subsoil using special equipment were also recorded. Materials on the violations identified were sent to the police for appropriate measures.
The police are taking measures to identify persons involved in causing damage to pasture areas. The prosecutor's office continues to actively work to identify and suppress the facts of illegal subsoil use.
