Experts discuss Kazakhstan's experience of democratic development

The Institute of Eurasian Integration held a meeting of the expert club "Open Politics" on the theme "Trends in the development of new democracies: Kazakhstan and the world",  El.kz reports.

The discussion was attended by Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zarema Shaukenova, Director of the Institute of Eurasian Integration Urazgali Selteev, Director of the Institute of European Law and Human Rights Marat Bashimov, Deputy Director of the Institute for Public Policy of the Amanat Party Dinara Sadvakasova, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the ANK Indira Rystina, Head of the Department of Political Science of L. N. Gumilyov ENU Bagysh Gabdulina, as well as other leading Kazakhstani political scientists and experts. The discussion was moderated by political scientist Assol Mirmanova.

During the meeting, experts discussed foreign experience in the development of democratic processes. In particular, topical and classical concepts of transitional democracies are considered on specific international examples.

In addition, the participants of the round table analyzed Kazakhstan's experience of democratic development and assessed the effectiveness of modern political reforms in our country, including in the context of the upcoming elections of deputies to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and maslikhats of all levels.
