Exhibition "Nomads of Kazakhstan: Past and Present" opened in Hungary

In the city of Karcag (Hungary), the exhibition "Nomads of Kazakhstan: Past and Present", organized by the Association of Museums of Almaty, has started its work, El.kz reports with reference to the Akimat of Almaty.

The exposition, which includes more than 200 unique exhibits, such as the dombra of Abai Kunanbaiuly, silver coins of the XIII century, jewelry, carpets and horse equipment, tells about the cultural heritage of the Kazakh people.

The exhibition attracted the attention of Hungarian visitors, including the descendants of the Kipchaks, whose ancestors migrated from the Kazakh steppes. Sandor Bene, a resident of Karcag, noted the importance of cultural ties, stressing that the exposition helps young people learn about related traditions.

The exhibition will run until November 20, and includes not only traditional household items, but also photographs of the modern beauties of Almaty. The exhibition was visited by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Abzal Saparbekuly and the Chairman of the Mazhilis Yerlan Koshanov.

Earlier, the Association of Museums of Almaty organized similar exhibitions in Austria, Italy, Turkey and South Korea.
