Emomali Rahmon arrives in capital of Kazakhstan

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will take part in the VI Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of Central Asia and the first Summit of Heads of State of the Dialogue “Central Asia + Japan”,El.kz  reports citing the press service of the Government of Kazakhstan.

Today, the countries are working to further increase trade. In January-June of this year, the volume of mutual trade between the two countries amounted to $575.7 million, while the export of Kazakh goods increased by 18.9%.

One of the strategic areas of bilateral cooperation is the sphere of water relations. The energy project for the construction of the Rogun hydropower plant in Tajikistan will bring a multiplier effect for the entire Central Asian region.
