East Flanders and West Flanders entrepreneurs interested in developing their businesses in Kazakhstan

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium Margulan Baimukhan visited the provinces of West and East Flanders, where he separately met with representatives of a number of Flemish companies, the leadership of Ghent University, and visited the “Infopol 2024” exhibition of equipment for law enforcement agencies and rescue services, El.kz cites MFA.

At the meeting with the owner of the Vatech Group, Frank Vandeputte, the parties discussed the ways to expand cooperation between the Belgian company and Kazakh business entities.

The Kazakh diplomat also underlined the investment, trade and economic potential of Kazakhstan. Margulan Baimukhan also got acquainted with the high-tech production facilities of Valvan, Ad Rem, and Soenen Technologies.

Valtech Group was founded in 1968. The group unites 16 high-tech enterprises that supply their products to 194 countries.

At the meeting with the Rector of Ghent University, Rik Van De Walle, the possibilities of establishing connections with Kazakh institutions in the field of training and re-training of specialists, as well as issues of research cooperation, were discussed.

Rik Van De Walle noted the interest in cooperation with universities and research centers of Kazakhstan, and highly appreciated the achievements of Kazakh students who study at a Belgian university.

During his visit to Ghent University, Margulan Baimukhan also met with Kazakh PhD students and researchers.

At the end of his visit to the Belgian provinces, Margulan Baimukhan visited the “Infopol 2024” exhibition, where he held introductory meetings with representatives of a number of European companies that offer their solutions for medical rescue services and law enforcement agencies.
