At the last meeting of the Government under the leadership of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, strategic issues of the development of e-commerce in the country were discussed, El.kz reports.

It is noteworthy that in the context of the increasingly widespread e-commerce market in the world, the Prime Minister stressed the need to actively use this opportunity to promote Kazakh products on the world stage. Global e-commerce is expected to account for more than 25% of total retail sales by 2025.

"We must use this opportunity as an additional channel for the sale of Kazakh products in the world market. At the same time, we need to develop domestic online stores. To do this, it is necessary to ensure the uninterrupted operation of payment systems, transport and logistics infrastructure and courier services," Alikhan Smailov said.

In addition, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of increasing digital literacy among both the population and entrepreneurs. For this purpose, it is proposed to open e-commerce training centers throughout the country.

"In part, this will be facilitated by e-commerce training centers, which need to be opened throughout the country," Alikhan Smailov stressed.
