In the first half of 2024, the volume of e-commerce in Kazakhstan reached 1.5 trillion tenge, which is about 62% of the total volume for the past year, El.kz reports with reference to the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Significant steps have been taken to promote and develop e-commerce in the country:

Together with Atameken NCE and major marketplaces Kaspi.kz, JMart.kz, Wildberries, Ozon, the Ministry of Trade and Integration launched e-commerce training courses, which were completed by more than 800 entrepreneurs.

An E-commerce Development Plan until 2027 has been developed and adopted. The plan provides for support measures for e-commerce entities, including subsidies and loan guarantees in cooperation with the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund.

Kazakh producers are actively introduced to international trading platforms, such as Alibaba.com. This year, 47 companies have been selected to sign contracts and create mini-sites. Since the launch of state support, 290 companies have earned about $346 million for their products.

These measures demonstrate significant progress in the development of e-commerce in Kazakhstan, which is an important step to improve economic stability and increase the country's export potential.
