Documentary series about eldest son of Genghis Khan to shoot in English

The Dara Presidential Initiatives Fund, in collaboration with Karga Seven Pictures, has announced the start of shooting of an English-language documentary-drama series consisting of six episodes dedicated to the life of Jochi Khan, the eldest son of Genghis Khan,  El.kz reports citing the foundation's press service.

The series will cover key stages of the development of the Golden Horde empire through the lens of Jochi Khan's life story.

Filming is set to begin in autumn in Kazakhstan and Turkey. Karga Seven Pictures is known for its works such as "Rise of Empires: Ottoman Empire" and "The Covenant: The Story of Moses" for Netflix, which have entered the Top 10 series in over 90 countries worldwide.

"The story of Jochi Khan's life is incredibly epic and will undoubtedly be of great interest to audiences worldwide. It is a great honor for us to collaborate with the Dara Fund in the implementation of this ambitious historical project," said Creative Director of Karga Seven Pictures Emre Sahin.
