It is planned that direct flights between Almaty and Kuala Lumpur will be opened in March, El.kz reports.
An important factor in the development of incoming tourism is also the completion of the construction of a new terminal at the Almaty International Airport by June this year. The airport's capacity will reach 14 million passengers per year.
According to forecasts, by 2024, the number of foreign tourists in the city should reach 520 thousand people.
