Dimash Qudaibergen appointed as Regional Goodwill Ambassador of the International Organization for Migration – UN Migration Agency

On February 15, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) announced the appointment of new Goodwill Ambassadors. People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, musician, singer and composer Dimash Qudaibergen was appointed IOM Regional Goodwill Ambassador (with a regional role in Asia).

IOM is the leading intergovernmental organization in the field of migration and is committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits migrants and society. IOM joined the United Nations system as a related organization in 2016.

Dimash Qudaibergen, a renowned international performer who became the first IOM ambassador from Kazakhstan, said, “As an IOM Goodwill Ambassador, I am proud to advocate for the rights of migrants. Let us unite for a world where everyone is protected and open to opportunities
