Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aigul Kapbarova as an observer took part in the 17th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the event, the senator, together with parliamentarians from other countries, discussed the unity of the countries of the region in the face of new challenges and threats, cooperation in the field of migration policy, and the consequences of the food crisis.
At the same time, within the framework of the Conference, the deputy met with the Secretary General of the OIC Parliamentary Union Mohamed Khuraychi Niass. During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the prospects for cooperation between the Union and the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.
"Recently, the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and our country have maintained constant relations , taking part in various events. We are interested in further developing and deepening such relations. By joint efforts, we will be able to solve topical regional issues," l Aigul Kapbarova said.
