Cossack people have a tradition to celebrate a holiday in memory of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, who is called ‘Nicholas the Winter’.
This event was celebrated cheerfully in the House of Friendship of Ust-Kamenogorsk. Creative teams demonstrated their talents. Soulful folk songs, acquaintance with the richest folklore and history of the Cossack ethnos - all this fascinated spectators and filled their hearts with warmth, the organizers of the event note.
Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian and other vocal and dancing compositions also were also among the numbers. The atmosphere of friendship, unity and good mood prevailed at the event.
Much attention was paid to the role of women in the fate of Cossacks. After all, the Cossack women were not only the keepers of the home, but also fighting friends of their husbands, strong defenders of their homeland. Words of love and gratitude were devoted to them. The event ended with a ceremony of awarding creative teams.
