Consultations between Kazakhstan and Russia regarding Pan-European cooperation held at Kazakh FM

In accordance with the cooperation plan between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for 2023-2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Roman Vassilenko and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexander Grushko held consultations today, El.kz cites MFA.

During the consultations, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia that represent a mutual interest. Particular attention was paid to the discussion of the approaches of the two countries in the context of pan-European cooperation with the OSCE and other international institutions.

Vassilenko informed his counterpart about the ongoing large-scale political and socio-economic reforms in the country, initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He also stressed the importance of further development of cooperation based on mutual trust both at the bilateral level and within the framework of regional organizations.

For his part, Grushko noted that ties between Kazakhstan and Russia have a steady and constant development dynamics across the full range of bilateral engagement.

Following the consultations, the participants noted the importance of the topics covered and of hosting such gatherings.
