Kazakhstan has established a new Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Innovative Development within the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved a corresponding resolution on its formation, El.kz reports.
It will be engaged in the implementation of public policy in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and coordinate work in this area at the cross-sectoral level. The main task of the Committee includes the development and implementation of legislation regulating the use and development of AI technologies.
In addition, in the context of structural changes in the government, it was decided to liquidate the Committee for Geodesy and Cartography, which previously functioned under the Ministry of Digital Development.
