China expresses its readiness to support Kazakhstan in construction of NPP

Kazakh delegation headed by the Minister of Energy Almassad Satkaliyev paid a working visit to China, El.kz reports.

The Chinese side expressed its readiness to support Kazakhstan in the implementation of the project for the construction of a nuclear power plant. Almassad Satkaliyev also held talks with Shen Yanfeng, president of the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) whose company was included in the short list of potential suppliers of nuclear technology for the Kazakh nuclear power plant.

The Kazakh delegation visited the China's Zhangzhou NP, the production bases of Shanghai Electric and a uranium conversion and enrichment plant in the central part of China.
