Central Referendum Commission publishes preliminary results of vote on NPP construction in Kazakhstan

According to the Central Referendum Commission, the total number of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have the right to participate in the referendum amounted to 12 million 284 thousand 487 people, El.kz reports.

Of these, 7 million 820 thousand 204 people took part in the voting, which is 63.66% of the total number of voters.

According to preliminary data, 71.12% of the participants or 5 million 561 thousand 937 people supported the construction of a nuclear power plant in the country.
