In opening the exhibition, the Vice-president of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Miroslava Ostrovska, emphasized the importance of this event for deepening the cultural dialogue between Kazakhstan and Poland.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland, Alim Kirabaev, noted in his speech that the maps presented at the exhibition contain valuable information about how the international community perceived Kazakhstan during various historical periods.

During the event, the author of the research study, the Director of the Institute of Contemporary Studies, Kazakhstan’s Goodwill Ambassador, Professor Mukhit-Ardager Sydyqnazarov, delivered a scientific presentation. The scholar presented to the Polish audience the results of his years of research, in which he detailed his search for maps reflecting Kazakh statehood in national libraries, museums, and archives across Europe, America, and the Middle East.

Professor Sydyqnazarov emphasized the importance of maps as key carriers of cultural and historical information, noting that they are not only geographical objects but also invaluable evidence of the development of the Kazakh state and its rich cultural heritage.

The event was attended by representatives of the academic community, the diplomatic corps, and state institutions of Poland. The cartographic exhibition became an important event that contributed to the growing interest in Kazakh history among Polish scholars and students, which, in turn, fosters further cultural dialogue and the development of joint research projects between Kazakhstan and Poland.
