According to the results of the first half of 2023, the volume of car maintenance and repair services in Kazakhstan amounted to 83.1 billion tenge, which is 40.7% more compared to the previous year, El.kz reports with reference to EnergyProm.
Analyzing the data by region, it can be noted that 39.6% of all services were in Almaty, which is the largest regional market in this industry. The volume of services in Almaty increased by 56.5%, reaching 32.9 billion tenge. In addition, Astana (9.9 billion tenge, an increase of 31.9%), Atyrau (6.4 billion tenge, an increase of 33.5%), Karaganda (4.1 billion tenge, an increase of 65%) and East Kazakhstan (3.9 billion tenge, an increase of 24.3%) were also in the top five leading regions.
Analyzing the data of June of this year, it can be noted that the operation of personal vehicles has risen in price by 15.7% over the year. In particular, spare parts and accessories, as well as fuels and lubricants, increased in price by 15.9% over the year, while maintenance and repair prices rose by 14.6%.
The largest increase in prices for the operation of personal vehicles was noted in Aktobe (plus 20.7%), East Kazakhstan (plus 20.3%) and North Kazakhstan (plus 19.7%) regions, while the smallest increase was recorded in Ulytau region (by 8.1%).
For certain categories of spare parts and accessories for personal vehicles, it is worth noting that tires for passenger cars have risen in price by an average of 18.2% over the year, and oil filters by 13.4%. Fuels and lubricants also rose markedly: gasoline increased in price by 12% over the year, diesel fuel - by 36.1%, engine oil - by 22.9%.
In the service sector, technical inspection went up by 8.9%, tire fitting services by 12.4%, and car wash by 22.2%. These data reflect the upward trend in the cost of maintenance and operation of cars in the country.
