On September 24, representatives of Cardiff University met with the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, El.kz reports.
Founded in 1883, Cardiff University is part of the elite Russell Group, which brings together leading research universities in the UK. It occupies high positions in international rankings in such areas as ecology, engineering, medicine, law and architecture.
At the meeting, the details of the creation of a branch in Astana, the development of educational programs and research activities were discussed. Particular attention was paid to such areas as pedagogy, engineering, IT, as well as renewable energy, geology and mining.
Cardiff University is ready to make a significant contribution to the development of higher education and science in Kazakhstan.
