The final of AI SANA Generative Nation brought together the strongest projects from school students, university students, and researchers in the field of artificial intelligence, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The first national AI SANA Generative Nation competition concluded at Astana Hub, becoming the centerpiece of AI Week, held for the first time as part of the Digital Bridge 2025 forum.
Following the preliminary selection, 20 teams advanced to the finals in four categories: Schoolers, Students, Startups, and Science.
The final showcased the wide range of AI applications. Among the solutions presented were systems for early cancer diagnosis, digital platforms for mental health support, water resource monitoring services, exam integrity tools and technologies promoting digital inclusion.
Competition winners:
• Best School AI Project – “Úmit” designed for people with severe upper limb impairments. The device allows users to control a wheelchair or digital gadgets using head and tongue movements.
• Best Student AI Project – Beelieve, which developed a smart beekeeping system to prevent bee extinction and boost crop yields.
• Best Startup AI Project – TrustExam, an AI platform for conducting exams with online monitoring and cheating prevention.
• Best Science AI Project – Mirai Tech, a motion analysis platform based on self-generating sensors that integrates sports, medicine, and education.
