«Beibitshilik» island to become picturesque vacation spot in Abay region

The head of the Abay region Nurlan Urankhayev, visited the facilities under construction in Semey in order to familiarize himself with the current process of construction work, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the akim of the region.

The first object to visit was the island of Beibitshilik.

- It is planned to create a picturesque recreation area for residents and guests of the city. One of the key projects is the children's railway. The cars are already ready for operation. Work on the creation of an ethnic village, the opening of which is scheduled for August 24, 2024, is also nearing completion”, the report says.

At the request of vacationers, sports grounds, exercise equipment, children's play grounds, a coffee shop, as well as recreation areas will be built. Surveillance cameras and public toilets are provided to ensure security.
