Topical issues of the development of the mining and metallurgical complex were discussed at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In particular, plans were considered to introduce international standards in geological exploration, as well as measures to improve the efficiency of field development and attract investment in the industry.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister stressed the need to maintain a balance between the interests of the state and business in the implementation of new initiatives and projects in the MMC.
Following the meeting, a number of relevant instructions were given to the authorized state bodies.
