Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageAstana is constructing a new cycling and pedestrian bridge at the junction of the Yesil and Akbulak rivers. Sketches of the future structure and the renovated embankment have appeared online, El.kz reports citing the Instagram public page architecture_astana.
The bridge and the embankment will become part of a large-scale redevelopment of the area. The works include creating convenient pedestrian and cycling routes, as well as improving recreation zones along the rivers.
The project is expected to be completed by May 2026.
Once construction is finished, residents of the capital will be able to enjoy walks and bike rides next summer.
