Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageFrom May 13 to 15, 2025, Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov in Astana will host the 2025 IBSA Judo World Championships, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
The competitions are organized under the auspices of the International Blind Sports Association (IBSA) and are a key global tournament in the four-year cycle for para judo. The tournament is part of the qualification system for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
Over 350 top athletes from 40 countries will participate in a large-scale international tournament, including 15 Paralympic champions and medalists.
Kazakhstan has established itself as a reliable venue for hosting the largest international competitions in para judo.
