Astana to host the final of intl AI film competition

As part of the final programme of the Astana AI Film Festival, the creators of the competition entries will conduct practical workshops for festival guests on AI filmmaking, El.kz reports .

A total of 8,067 entries from 125 countries were submitted to the competition, with 25 works selected for the final programme, showcasing the international community of creators working with artificial intelligence in filmmaking. The scale and geographical reach of the competition demonstrate the rapid development of AI filmmaking as an emerging field at the intersection of cinema, technology and the creative industries.

The creators of the competition entries will share their first-hand experience in producing AI films — from developing an initial concept and visual direction to completing the final film. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the creative process directly from the creators of the finalist works, ask questions and see how advanced generative artificial intelligence tools are applied in practice.

AI creators will demonstrate selected stages of project development and discuss their approaches to working with characters, locations, references and scene generation. They will also share practical techniques and methods used in the production of their films.

The workshops will take place on October, 3 from 12:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m at the Trading Hall of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).
