The 38-year-old Astana rider Mark Cavendish won the third place on the opening stage of the Tour Colombia, El.kz reports citing sports.kz.

Fernando Gaviria (Movistar) won stage 1 of Tour Colombia in a high-altitude bunch sprint ahead of Davide Persico (Bingoal WB) and Mark Cavendish (Astana Qazaqstan).
