On October 25, the entire Kazakhstan celebrates a national holiday – Republic Day. In honour of this, artists of the capital’s opera house, Astana Opera, congratulated their compatriots and wished them further prosperity and well-being to our sovereign country, El.kz cites astanaopera.kz.
Astana Opera’s choirmaster Yerzhan Sansyzbayev noted that the state’s gaining independence was one of the most important achievements in the entire history of the Kazakh people. According to him, overcoming difficulties of the first years, Kazakhstan has developed in different aspects.
“Whether it is a classical or national genre, all areas of art gained impetus for further development. Previously forgotten aitys, singing traditions and Nauryz holiday were revived. I believe that this is one of the main achievements given to us by independence. Now we are developing not only the classical genre, but also striving to make the best possible adaptations of Kazakh songs for the choir. We have the opportunity to present our art not only in Kazakhstan, but also abroad. Personally, I have performed in more than 15 countries,” Yerzhan Sansyzbayev said. “The question each person should ask is not “what the state can give me”, but “what can I do for the development of our country?” Working for the good of your country is the same as working for the good of your family, so I urge everyone to contribute to the development of Kazakhstan. Living and working for the benefit of our country is a great happiness for all of us. Happy Republic Day!”
Principal oboe of the Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Damilya Makhpirova, connects Republic Day with friendship, seeing the unity of the multinational people of Kazakhstan in this holiday.
“In our sovereign state, each nation lives in harmony, doing what they love as an occupation. If you look at our Astana Opera Orchestra, you can see that musicians in it are of different ethnic backgrounds, but, regardless of our ethnicities, we all work in complete harmony. The blood of Kazakhs, Uighurs and Tatars flows in me. As the wise Abai once said: “Love all humanity as your brother,” I love all peoples. Indeed, independence has brought a lot of good to our country. Thanks to the Constitution, each of us has freedom of choice. I believe that this is a very important factor. I want to congratulate all people of Kazakhstan on this wonderful holiday and wish everyone good health,” Damilya Makhpirova said.
Astana Opera’s soloist Guldana Aldadossova also congratulated the people of Kazakhstan.
“The national image of any country can be recognized through its culture. When I perform abroad, I often notice that professional musicians admire the voices of Kazakh opera singers. I often hear such words from them: “Your voices are ringing, the timbres are very beautiful, filled with different colours.” I am glad that foreigners treat our culture and art with great respect. Today we can confidently say that our country is among the states with developed culture and art. We will continue to contribute to the development of our sovereign state!”
The opera house’s ballet company soloist Dias Kurmangazy also joined in the warm wishes of his colleagues.
“I will never tire of working for the prosperity of Kazakhstan. Young people like us, who are on the path of art, have many opportunities to bring glory to our country on the world stage. For example, during tours abroad, we find new fans, and they learn about Kazakhstan through our art, show interest in our culture, customs and traditions. In general, I always proudly declare that I am a Kazakh and live in an independent country. I am sure that if everyone strives to benefit our country, only the best awaits us in the future!”
Like all people of Kazakhstan, the artists of the capital’s opera house eagerly await Republic Day and are aware of the importance of this date.
