Astana entered the top 21 most intelligent cities Smart21 community of 2023 according to the Intelligent Community Forum, El.kz reports with reference to the akimat's press service.
"Each of the cities, towns or regions represented has applied six principles to build inclusive societies, economic prosperity, social health and cultural wealth that together make a community strong and sustainable," the report reads.
Astana took the 64th place in the ranking of smart cities Smart Centres Index, ahead of Moscow (68), Warsaw (67), Rome (65).
"The purpose of the rating is to help investors, governments and regulators track the attractiveness of cities as technology centers for new technologies, investments, products by measuring their regulatory system, level of innovation development, growth in science, technology, energy systems, machine learning, security and fintech development," the akimat said.
Astana in 2022 for the first time entered the sixth edition of the Smart Centres Index. The research team praised the level of support for innovation in the city and rated it at 650 points, which is higher than that of Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, Seattle.
