Kazakhstan's Bibisara Asaubayeva has taken the lead in the Women's FIDE Circuit rankings following her victory at Norway Chess Women, while Uzbekistan's Javokhir Sindarov has strengthened his position in the men's standings, El.kz reports.

The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has released the updated version of the FIDE Circuit. The primary highlight is the leadership of Bibisara Asaubayeva, who climbed to the top spot after her successful performance at the tournament in Norway.

The Kazakhstani chess player currently has 51.30 points. China’s Zhu Jiner, took second place. India’s Vaishali Rameshbabu has dropped to third after several months at the top.

The victory at Norway Chess Women was one of the most significant results of the season for Asaubayeva. She guaranteed herself first place in the tournament's overall standings even before the final day of play.

The ranking update also affected other participants of the world tour. Following the Asian Championship, Indian chess player Savitha Shri B and Uzbekistan’s Afruza Hamdamova significantly improved their positions.

Both athletes have entered the top 10 of the FIDE Circuit. Their results have shifted the balance of power at the top of the table, adding intrigue to the battle for the high-ranking spots at the end of the season.

The men’s race

In the men's standings, first place remains held by Nodirbek Abdusattorov of Uzbekistan. His closest pursuer remains his compatriot Javokhir Sindarov, who narrowed the gap thanks to a successful performance at the Super Chess Classic in Romania.

American Grandmaster Fabiano Caruana holds the third spot. He maintained his place in the top three after a series of strong performances in major international competitions this season.
