Anthropic has launched the Claude Frontier Academy, an educational programme for engineers responsible for implementing AI models within enterprises. The company plans to invest USD 100 million in professional training and increase the number of participants to 10,000 by the end of 2027, El.kz reports.

The first cohorts already include engineers from major organisations, including Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, and Novo Nordisk. Participants will learn how to deploy Claude in enterprise projects and will undergo practical competency assessments.

Training is centred on real-world projects

Anthropic compares the academy’s training model to medical education. Engineers first complete in-person training and then work through a simulated enterprise project, where they are required to select an appropriate Claude use case, assess system security, and prepare the solution for operational deployment.

Following the examination, participants receive Claude Resident Engineer status and proceed to the residency phase. Over a period of 12 weeks, each engineer works on implementing Claude within their organisation with support from Anthropic specialists.

A new level of certification

Upon completion of the residency, engineers undergo a final assessment and may qualify for the Claude Frontier Deployed Engineer status. Anthropic expects to certify the first specialists at this level in early 2027.

Training is delivered in San Francisco, New York, and London. Individuals cannot apply to the programme independently; candidates are nominated by their organisations through their respective Anthropic account managers.

Anthropic expands its enterprise focus

The Claude Frontier Academy is part of Anthropic’s broader programme of engagement with enterprise customers and partners. Through the Claude Partner Network, professionals from 46,000 companies have already received more than 175,000 Claude certifications, while nearly 4,000 people have completed the intensive Basecamp programme.

In parallel, Anthropic has expanded its collaboration with Barclays on secure AI systems for business.
