Brazilian businessman named Neymar heir to his £1 billion estate, despite never having met him,El.kz cites The Sun.

The 31-year-old businessman from Rio Grande do Sul registered his will at a notary's office, leaving "all his worldly possessions" to the football icon.

The eye-watering fortune is believed to be £752 million, F5 reported.

The inheritance includes numerous assets, including properties, investments and shares in major companies.

The businessman, now deceased and childless, had the will authenticated in June 2025 with two witnesses and a substitute notary present.

In a legal document, the unidentified man stated he was "in full judgement, free from any coercion or inducement", and that the decision was made solely due to his "identification with the player"

" I like Neymar, I identify with him a lot," the document read.

"He's not self-serving, something rare these days."

The anonymous man said he faced healthproblems and highlighted the relationship Neymar portrays to have with his family.

His connection with his father reminds me a lot of the one I had with mine, who has passed away," he said.
