Mr. Ibodzoda Hayrullo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Kazakhstan visited Karaganda Friendship House.
The official meeting with the Ambassador was attended by the Director "Kogamdyk Kelisim" of Karaganda Region Mayor's Office Erlan Kusaiyn and representatives of the ethno-cultural public association "Tajik Diaspora".
In his welcoming speech, Erlan Kusaiyn said: "House of Friendship has become a centre for peace and accord, civic initiatives and multifunctional resource centres for civil society institutions, where all conditions have been created for the development of ethno-cultural associations.
In turn, Mr. Hayrullo noted that it is important to appreciate friendship and accord with other ethnic minorities living in the region and that it is very important to respect the customs and traditions of the Kazakh people, which are mostly similar to those of Tajiks. It also explained in detail the Law on Migration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that, according to statistics, there are about 2,000 members of the Tajik ethnicity living in Karaganda region. In turn, the chairman of the ethno-cultural public association "Tajik Diaspora" Shakarbek Normatov thanked the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan for establishing relations with the historical homeland.
He also spoke about the activities of the ethnocultural association, the purpose of which is the revival of national culture, creativity and development of customs, folk traditions and support of the state policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the upbringing of the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism.
