Almost 100 thousand new student places introduced in Kazakhstan

Since the beginning of this year, almost 100 thousand new student places have been introduced in the country, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School", initiated by the President, 16 educational organizations were opened for 48 thousand places, nine of which are located in Astana. Another 15 schools, designed for 19 thousand places.

In addition, major repairs have been completed in 224 schools, and another 1000 schools are being modernized and equipped with updating furniture, canteens, libraries, classrooms.

It is also planned to purchase more than 1300 classrooms for robotics, chemistry, biology, physics and STEM labs.

It is important to note that over the past three years, 689 schools for 435 thousand pupils have been built in Kazakhstan.
