At the Digital Almaty 2024 digital event in Almaty, the launch of a new city application Almaty City App, designed to provide unified access to various digital services of the city was presented , El.kz reports with reference to the city akimat.
This application integrates various services, including OpenAlmaty (virtual reception of the Akimat of Almaty), the functionality of the Situation Center and the VisitAlmaty application for tourists, providing residents with convenient access to them at the touch of a button. The project is expected to be launched by the end of this year.
In addition to this, within the framework of the Almaty-Smart City project, work is underway to create a Digital Twin of the city. This project aims to model, analyze and manage urban infrastructure to improve the efficiency of urban space.
It is noted that in the first nine months of last year, the gross regional product of Almaty reached $32 billion, with $1.7 billion of this amount falling on the field of information technology and communications.
