Akim of Almaty discusses new opportunities for cooperation with US business mission

Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dossaev held a meeting with a delegation of the US business mission headed by Senior Vice President of the US Chamber of Commerce Khush Choksy,El.kz reports.

Representatives of large American companies such as Chevron, Citibank, John Deere, VISA, and others took part in the negotiations. The expansion of cooperation in trade, economic, investment and innovation spheres was discussed.

Yerbolat Dossaev stressed the importance of partnership with the United States, especially in such sectors as food production, digital technologies, finance, tourism and services. In 2024, the trade turnover between Almaty and the United States amounted to about $680 million, and 343 enterprises with the participation of American capital are successfully operating in the city.
