Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Nurlan Baibazarov held a meeting with with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) delegation headed by Konstantin Limitovsky. The prospects for further cooperation in the areas of infrastructure development and decarbonization were discussed,El.kz reports with reference to the Official Information Resource of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The delegation was presented with the current state of the economy of Kazakhstan, as well as measures to improve the investment climate and the implementation of major infrastructure projects. Particular attention was paid to the modernization of transport, energy and water infrastructure.
Nurlan Baibazarov stressed the importance of cooperation with the AIIB and noted that Kazakhstan is entering a new investment cycle, offering significant projects for international financial institutions and private investors.
In turn, Konstantin Limitovsky noted Kazakhstan's contribution to the creation of the AIIB and announced his readiness to support the country on the path to carbon neutrality by 2060. During the meeting, a Declaration of Intent was signed on the joint development of a three-year investment plan, which will include potential projects for financing.
