Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Kazakhstan Mustafa Kapucu, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Culture and Information.
The meeting discussed the topical issues of the development of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey, especially in the field of culture and media.
Aida Balayeva stressed that ties between the countries traditionally have long and deep roots, based on a common history, culture and religion.
"The President attaches special importance to strengthening cooperation with Turkey and other Turkic-speaking countries. This is confirmed by the 10th anniversary summit of the Organization of Turkic States, at which Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the importance of the task of approving and implementing the document "Prospects of the Turkic World - 2040".
Within the framework of the current bilateral relations with Turkey, cooperation has been established in various fields, such as culture, media, youth policy and interfaith harmony. And the initiative of the Head of State to hold the International Year of Volunteer Mobilization testifies to Kazakhstan's special attitude to the development of traditions, the culture of volunteering not only in our country, but throughout the world," the minister said.
Of particular interest to the Kazakh side is cooperation in the field of media, exchange of experience and content between Kazakh and Turkish TV channels.
In this regard, Aida Balayeva invited the Turkish side to consider the possibility of creating joint projects, in particular, the production of documentaries, the main purpose of which is to promote the cultural values of the Turkic world.
"We are ready to support all initiatives aimed at developing bilateral relations with Kazakhstan, a comprehensive exchange of experience in the implementation of projects important for our countries. They are necessary for young people and, of course, will have a positive impact on their education," Mustafa Kapucu said, voicing a number of specific proposals to intensify cooperation in the field of culture.
