Articles about Kazakhstan written using artificial intelligence were sent to the international media under the names of well-known British scientists, El.kz reports citing the Times.

Reporters found out that one of these articles, attributed to British scientists Oliver Turner and Adam Bauer, was sent to Euronews. However, Euronews refused to publish the article because of the unusual wording. Later, scholars were informed of the texts distributed on their behalf.

According to the Times, one of the fake articles, purportedly written by Turner, described the rise of the "middle powers" and the position of Kazakhstan. The article also mentioned the Astana International Forum, which was described as a significant change in the role of the middle powers on the world stage.

Despite this, another news organization published the article but later deleted it. The Times authors note that other publications about Kazakhstan in English can be found on the Internet, which were probably also written with the help of artificial intelligence.
