Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageAn AI artist operating under the pseudonym Heavy Pulp has published a three-minute video on the social media platform X, created using the generative model Grok Imagine. In the video, the author presents an original interpretation of Homer’s Odyssey, El.kz reports.
The publication was noticed by Elon Musk, who shared it with his followers. In a comment accompanying the post, the entrepreneur stated that by the end of 2026, Grok Imagine would be capable of producing a feature-length film based on The Odyssey.
“By the end of this year, Grok Imagine will create a feature-length film based on The Odyssey that will be historically accurate and faithful to Homer’s artistic vision,” Musk wrote.
The post prompted public discussion, with some users interpreting Musk’s statement as an indication of his personal involvement in the project’s production. However, the comment is more likely intended as a demonstration of the capabilities of artificial intelligence and represents another projection by the entrepreneur regarding the future development of AI technologies. Whether Grok Imagine will succeed in producing a feature-length adaptation of The Odyssey by the end of the year is expected to become clear in December.
