As part of MEDIA WEEK 2025 in Astana, a master class titled “How to Work with Information Sources in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” was held, organized by JSC "Qazcontent", El.kz reports.
The speakers were SEO specialist Arshat Oraz and BAQ.KZ journalist Anelya Oserkhan.
They demonstrated how AI can help analyze data, verify facts, and optimize editorial workflows.
Arshat Oraz noted that tools like ChatGPT speed up information gathering and improve accuracy.
“We label all AI-generated photos and videos. We don’t write entire texts using artificial intelligence — we only use it to collect information and verify facts. The final result always belongs to the journalist. If over 75% of the work is done by the journalists, the material is considered theirs", Anelya Oserkhan.
In his turn, Arshat Oraz noted that technology opens up new opportunities for journalists, especially in terms of analyzing and systematizing information, while keeping the human factor at the core of the profession.
The master class was held in an open dialogue format, where participants discussed how artificial intelligence is transforming the media landscape and how to use it wisely.
The event was part of the educational program of Astana Media Week 2025, aimed at developing digital competencies among journalists and communication professionals.
