A pilot version of the Imam AI system, designed to answer religious questions, is scheduled to launch in Kazakhstan in May, El.kz reports.
The initiative was presented during a staff meeting chaired by country’s Supreme Mufti Nauryzbay Kazhy Taganuly. The new system aims to provide prompt responses to believers and expand access to reliable religious information through modern technologies.
During the meeting, participants discussed the key stages of the project’s implementation, as well as the technical and organizational aspects of its launch. The pilot launch of Imam AI is scheduled for early May.
The Supreme Mufti emphasized the importance of digitalization in the activities of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan (SAMK). According to him, the introduction of AI an improve the quality of religious education and make it more accessible.
Experts note that such solutions reflect the broader trend of integrating AI into various sectors, including religious institutions. The system is expected to speed up access to answers, reduce the workload on specialists, and simplify access to necessary information for believers.
