From July 16 to 27, the XXXII World Summer University Games will be held in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany. The Kazakhstani team at the international student competitions will be represented by 76 athletes who will perform in 12 sports. The national team also includes 18 coaches and 6 official representatives, El.kz reports.

The tournament, as reported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, will be held in several German cities at once: Duisburg, Bochum, Essen, Hagen, Mülheim, as well as in the country's capital, Berlin.

Over 8,500 athletes from all over the world will take part in the Universiade.

The program includes 234 sets of awards in 18 disciplines, including athletics, swimming, fencing, gymnastics, rowing, taekwondo, archery and other sports.

Kazakhstan has been participating in the Student Universiade on a regular basis since 1993. At the last XXXI Universiade in Chengdu, China in 2023, the national team won 20 medals: 2 gold, 7 silver and 11 bronze.

The best result of the Kazakhstan team was shown in 2013 at the Universiade in Kazan, where they won 30 medals.
