50 thousand people in Kazakhstan work in online format

According to the results of the first quarter of 2024, the total number of employed people in Kazakhstan is 9,167.3 thousand people, El.kz reports. Of these, 51.9% are men, 48.1% are women.

According to the Bureau of National Statistics, the age group 35 to 44 years had the highest number of employed workers - over 2.5 million people. 44% have higher and postgraduate education, 50% have a technical or vocational education.

76.2% of the total number of people are employed, 23.8% are self-employed.

The largest number of employees is registered in Almaty, where their number reaches 954.3 thousand people. Among the self-employed, the largest number is in the Turkestan region - 374.5 thousand people (17.1% of the total number of self-employed).
