According to the Bureau of National Statistics, the age group 35 to 44 years had the highest number of employed workers - over 2.5 million people. 44% have higher and postgraduate education, 50% have a technical or vocational education.
Employment Status:
76.2% of the total number of people are employed, 23.8% are self-employed.
The largest number of employees is registered in Almaty, where their number reaches 954.3 thousand people. Among the self-employed, the largest number is in the Turkestan region - 374.5 thousand people (17.1% of the total number of self-employed).
In addition, 51.6 thousand people work in online format.
