From 1996 to the present, our athletes have won 7 medals (2 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze) at the Summer Paralympic Games,El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
The Kazakhstan national team has 33 licenses. 44 athletes compete in 9 sports (para swimming, para powerlifting, para athletics, para canoeing, para taekwondo, men's sitting volleyball, para shooting, para table tennis, para judo).
Most of the licenses were won by a pair of judokas - 10 people.
The Paralympic volleyball team (sitting volleyball) is among the top six out of 75 countries in the world ranking.
For the first time this year, athletes from Kazakhstan won a ticket to the Paralympic Games in table tennis.
