41 IT schools have opened in Kazakhstan over the past three years, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This is 3 thousand more than in 2021.
IT schools are equipped with modern equipment and robotics classrooms. Also, special educational programs have been developed for students, which are aimed at developing digital knowledge and skills in children.
“The Ministry of Education pays great attention to digitalization itself in the field of education. Our schools use electronic services, hold online Olympiads and competitions, accept documents to the school in electronic format. Three weeks earlier, we had a congress of the CIS member countries, where colleagues from other countries noted the progressivity of our introduction of digitalization in the educational process. Of course, we must support the education of children in digitalization. To do this, we initiate the widespread opening of IT schools. The specificity of IT schools is specialization in the field of IT-technologies, early profiling, in-depth study of robotics and programming, 3D modeling. Every year the number of IT schools will increase,"
Gulmira Karimova, Chairman of the Secondary Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan said.
