About 2500 people, including police officers, prosecutors, youth of the city, employees of public utilities, narcologists, athletes and volunteers attended a large-scale action called "Shymkent is a city without drugs", El.kz reports with reference to Polisia.kz.
The campaign is aimed at identifying and eliminating drug advertising, as well as explaining the legal responsibility for drug crimes. Residents were urged to lead a healthy lifestyle.
As a result of the event, 2332 drug graffiti were eliminated.
Work has been carried out to strengthen feedback from the population, to form the principle of "zero tolerance" for any offenses and to establish a negative attitude towards drugs in society.
