1st group of Kazakhstani rescuers and medical workers from Gaziantep landed in Almaty

The first group of Kazakhstani rescuers and medical workers from the Gaziantep landed in Almaty, El.kz reports.

According to the municipal emergencies department, 33 employees of the Republican Operational Rescue Group of the MIA Emergencies Committee, three canine teams and five doctors of the Emergency Medicine Center returned home were welcomed by their relatives.

According to Chief of the Republican Operational Rescue Group Vladimir Tsoy, the second group of rescuers will return Kazakhstan on February 19.

Earlier, by order of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev the forces and means of rescue units, including equipment, doctors of the Center for Disaster Medicine and teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, were sent in two echelons and began search and rescue operations at the most complex destroyed facilities.

The group of Kazakhstani rescuers was headed by First Vice Minister for Emergency Situations Ibrahim Kulshimbayev.
