Kassym-Jomart Tokayev holds talks with Emomali Rahmon

Upon his arrival in Tajikistan on a state visit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was greeted by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon at the Qasri Millat, El.kz cites Akorda.

The talks began with an official welcome ceremony. The national anthems of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan were played, and the leaders of the two countries received a welcome report from the chief of the guard of honour. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Emomali Rahmon introduced members of the official delegations to each other. Then, the Heads of State went to the White Hall to hold talks in a narrow format

During the talks, issues of trade, economic, transit and transport, energy, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as interaction in the fields of digitalization, agriculture and water resources were considered.

In addition, the prospects for the implementation of breakthrough investment projects were discussed, which will become new growth points for the economies of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
