Cooperation between Kazakhstan and International Monetary Fund discussed in Government
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy, Nurlan Baibazarov held a meeting with the head of the IMF mission for Kazakhstan Nicolas Blanchet, El.kz news agency reports with reference to primeminister.kz.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current economic situation, ongoing reforms and measures taken by the Government to ensure sustainable economic growth.
The recommendations of the Fund on priority areas of economic policy development and cooperation plans for the near and medium term were considered.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted the continued growth of the economy and its acceleration to 3.7% in the first 8 months of this year. The Deputy Prime Minister also spoke about the Government's work to improve the efficiency of budget policy, improve tax legislation, strengthen investment attractiveness and develop entrepreneurship.
