Square named after Elizabeth II to open in Astana

Within the framework of the upcoming visit of the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs James Cleverly to Kazakhstan, it is planned to open a square named after Elizabeth II in one of the parks of the capital. This was announced during a briefing by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aibek Smadiyarov, El.kz reports.

"During his stay in Astana, Jame Cleverly will be received by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, and negotiations will be held with the leadership of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry," the briefing said.
